Hot Dogs With Mustard Slaw

Preparation Time: 5 minutes 

Cooking Time: 20 minutes 

Serves: 2


  • ¼ hard green or white cabbage 
  • ½ green pepper 
  • 1 stick celery 
  • 2 tbsp French mustard or Dijon mustard
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise 
  • 2 tbsp soured cream 
  • 1 tbsp cider vinegar 
  • 2 tsp sugar 
  • 4 hot dog sausages or frankfurters 
  • 2 brioche hot dog rolls
  • Hot sauce, such as Tabasco


Step 1: Begin to shred the cabbage, celery, and green pepper into a bowl. Start to mix the mayo, soured cream, mustard, cider vinegar, and the sugar with some seasoning. Incorporate it to the veg and mix everything thoroughly by using your hands. Place it in the fridge until you need it. 

Step 2: Cook the sausages and heat the rolls. 

Step 3: Place the sausages in the rolls, top with slaw, sprinkle with hot sauce, and drizzle with extra mustard.
