Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Cooking Time: 4 minutes
Serves: 5

Ingredients

  • 100g dark chocolate, roughly chopped
  • 400g strawberries
  • 30g white and milk chocolate, roughy chopped (optional)

Method

Step 1: Set aside a strip of baking parchment. To melt the dark chocolate, pour 2cm of water into a small saucepan and heat it until it simmers. Place the chocolate in a heat-resistant bowl and position it over the saucepan, making sure the bowl doesn’t touch the water. Stir occasionally as the chocolate melts.

Alternatively, you can melt the chocolate in the microwave by heating it in 20-second intervals, stirring each time until fully melted. Transfer the melted chocolate into a small, deep bowl.

Step 2: Holding the strawberries by their green tops, immerse them in the chocolate. Allow any excess to drip off, then place the strawberries on the parchment to set. If there is extra chocolate, spread it onto a separate piece of parchment and let it solidify for future use.

Step 3: To add decoration to the strawberries, melt the white and milk chocolate and gently drizzle over the strawberries!

Allow to set before serving.
