Bacon Sandwich On Crusty Bread
This recipe tells you how to make a bacon sandwich. Why not cook your bacon in a Morphy Richards air fryer? This bacon sandwich is the best kind of sandwich because it combines the perfect balance of crispy, smoky bacon with crusty bread. The bacon is cooked to perfection, providing a satisfying crunch with each bite.
Cook time: 15 minutes
Serves: 6
Ingredients:
- 6 rashers rindless back bacon
- 1 white country loaf
- butter, for spreading
- Your chosen sauce (optional)
- 1 large garlic clove
Method:
Step 1: Heat a frying pan until hot, then cook the bacon for 3 minutes on each side, or until it turns golden and crispy.
Step 2: Slice 6 thick pieces from the loaf and butter one side of each slice. If using, spread your chosen sauce evenly over 3 of the slices, then layer 2 rashers of crispy bacon on top of each. Place the remaining slices of bread on top, buttered side down, and press firmly together.
Step 3: Place the sandwiches back in the pan over medium heat and toast for 2-3 minutes on each side until they’re golden and crispy. Remove from the pan and rub both sides with the cut edge of a garlic clove for an extra burst of flavour. Slice the sandwiches in half and serve immediately for the best taste.
