A dehumidifier draws moist air into the unit using a fan, passes it over cooled coils where water condenses, then collects the liquid in a tank or drains it away. The drier air is reheated slightly and released back into the room, continually reducing ambient humidity.
How do I choose the right size dehumidifier?
Measure the room’s square metreage and assess moisture levels. Small rooms up to 10m² suit 0.9L–3L units, medium spaces up to 25m² need 12L–20L models, and larger or very damp areas call for 25L–30L machines. Always err on the side of a slightly larger capacity for faster results and to ensure you end up with the best dehumidifier for your home.
What is the ideal indoor humidity level?
