Gluten Free Pizza Dough

Serves: 4

Ingredients 

  • 400g gluten-free bread flour
  • 2 heaped tsp golden caster sugar
  • 2 tsp gluten-free baking powder
  • 1 tsp fine salt
  • 1 heaped tsp xanthan gum
  • 5 tbsp olive oil

Method

Step 1: First, preheat your oven to 220C/200 fan/gas 7. Then, place the sugar, flour, salt, xanthan gum and baking powder into the breadmaker pan. Following this, make a well in the center of the mixture and pour in 250ml of warm water as well as the olive oil.

Step 2: Close the lid and select Programme 8 on your Morphy Richards Fastbake Breadmaker. This setting is great for preparing any dough. It will create the dough but will not bake the final bread, meaning you will be able to remove the dough from the bread maker and start to prepare your pizza base and toppings ready for cooking in the oven. Once combined, the dough should be a thick, wet, paste-like texture.

Step 3: Once you have removed the pizza dough from the bread maker, roll it out and add the desired toppings. Place in the oven and cook until golden brown.
