Ingredients:

For the ham:

  • 2 thick-cut slices of cooked ham (about 1 inch thick, 150g each)
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp wholegrain mustard
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon

For the spiced apples:

  • 2 medium apples, cored and sliced into wedges
  • 1 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • Pinch of nutmeg

Method:

Step 1: In a small bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, Dijon mustard, wholegrain mustard, and cinnamon.

Step 2: Brush the ham slices with the maple glaze on both sides, ensuring they're evenly coated.

Step 3: Toss the apple wedges in melted butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.

Step 4: Place the ham slices in the air fryer basket. Cook at 180°C for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the glaze is golden and caramelised.

Step 5: Remove the ham and set it aside to keep warm. Add the spiced apples to the air fryer basket and cook at 180°C for 6-8 minutes until tender and slightly browned.

Step 6: Plate the ham slices with the warm, spiced apples on the side. Garnish with a sprig of fresh rosemary or thyme for a festive touch!
