Spaghetti & Meatballs

Wanting to indulge in a hearty meal full of flavour? Our spaghetti & meatballs recipe is made with rich and delicious homemade sauce. This easy spaghetti & meatballs recipe is perfect for a midweek dinner and is great for batch cooking so you can freeze extra portions. 

Ingredients: 

  • Meatballs, we recommend 4 per person 

  • 1 onion, diced 

  • Olive oil 

  • ½ a large bunch of parsley, finely chopped

  • 85g parmesan, plus extra to serve 

  • Spaghetti, we recommend 100g per person to serve 

For The Meatball Sauce

  • 2 tbsp olive oil 

  • 4 garlic cloves, crushed 

  • 4 x 400g of can chopped tomatoes

  • 125ml red wine, can use a red wine stock cube instead 

  • 3 tbsp caster sugar 

  • ½ a large bunch of parsley, finely chopped

Method: 

Step 1: Start by using a Morphy Richards Frying Pan and drizzle the olive oil in the pan over a medium heat. Follow the packet for instructions on how long it takes to cook the meatballs. 

Step 2: Add the garlic cloves and let it sizzle for 1 minute. Add the red wine, chopped tomatoes, caster sugar, seasoning and parsley. Let the sauce simmer for 15 to 20 minutes until the sauce has thickened. 

Step 3: Boil the water in a Morphy Richards Saucepan and once the bubbles reach the top of the surface, pop the spaghetti into the water and cook for 12 minutes. 

Step 4: Drain the pasta and serve!
