How Do You Cook The Perfect Roast Beef?

This easy roast beef recipe with carrots is perfect for a Sunday dinner with family or friends. The roast beef only takes 15 minutes to prepare then simply pop it in the roasting tin, put it in the oven then let it cook. Leave the beef joint until it is done to your liking, while your kitchen is filled with a delicious aroma. 

Ingredients: 

  • 1 tsp plain flour 

  • 1 tsp mustard powder 

  • 950g beef joint 

  • 1 onion, sliced into wedges 

  • 500g carrots, sliced lengthways 

Method:

Step 1: Start by heating the oven to 240C/220C fan/gas 9. Add the plain flour and mustard powder with your choice of seasoning to a small bowl. Once mixed, rub it over the joint of beef. 

Step 2: Add the onion and carrots into the Morphy Richards Roasting Tin and put the beef on top and cook for 20 minutes. 

Step 3: Turn down the oven to 190C/170C fan/gas 5 and cook for a further 30 minutes if you like the beef rare or cook for 40 minutes if you prefer medium and 1 hour for well done. 

Step 4: Take the roasting tin out of the oven and pop the beef and carrots onto warm plates and cover with foil to keep warm. 

Step 5: Let the beef rest for 30 minutes until you slice and serve!
