Looking to make healthy chicken recipes? This easy chicken curry is a perfect recipe for family dinners. This chicken dish is made with a handful of ingredients with a creamy yogurt, paired with either fluffy rice or a warm naan.
Ingredients:
-
2 tbsp sunflower oil
-
1 onion, sliced thinly
-
2 garlic cloves, crushed
-
Thumb size piece of ginger grated
-
6 chicken things, boneless and skinless
-
3 tbsp medium spice paste
-
400g can of chopped tomatoes
-
100g greek yogurt
-
1 small bunch of coriander, leaves chopped
-
50g ground almonds
-
Cooked basmati rice or naan bread, to serve
Method:
Step 1: Using the Morphy Richards Cast Aluminium Casserole Dish, pour the oil into the dish and heat over a medium heat. Start by adding the onion and a sprinkle of salt, then fry for 8 to 10 minutes, stir during that time using the Morphy Richards Solid Spoon. Once the onions have turned a golden brown, add in the ginger and garlic and cook for another minute.
Step 2: Using the 8" chefs knife from our 5 Piece Knife Block Set With Sharpener and using our chopping board, cut the chicken into 3cm pieces and add to your pan and fry for 5 minutes before adding the tomatoes, spice paste and 250ml of water. Bring your dish to a boil and lower to a simmer and let it cook uncovered for 25 to 30 minutes. Add in the yogurt, ground almond, coriander and stir through for a further minute. Then serve with basmati rice or a warm naan.
