Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! I'd been thinking about buying a slow cooker for some time and when I finally got round to looking at what was available, I saw this one. I have to say I am absolutely delighted with it and am so glad I bought the one with the metal pot so I can sear the meat in it first - less washing up! I have used it three times now and am very impressed with how tender the meat is. It's also very useful being able to put the ingredients in early in the day and just let it do its own thing until we're ready to eat. All in all a fabulous product and highly recommended. It looks good too!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looking Good - With Excellent Results so far I bought this at the end of May and am delighted. The colour is great for my kitchen. It doesn't seem to take up as much room as my older slow cooker; it is so much lighter to handle (the main reason for an update on my old slow cooker) Have used it for goulash - using the recipe in the leaflet and have also cooked a few other things such as ratatouille. Very pleased with the results so far. Will be very careful not to scratch the non-stick interior by only using silicone kitchen products. Have not used the actual sear option yet as I am happy to prepare using my previous method using my good strong pan which goes in the dishwasher too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful Item Purchased this following reviewing various slow cookers , was great value for money compared to others that I considered. I was drawn to the fact that I could use the pot on the hob for searing the joints first thus cutting down on dishwashing. The pot is lightweight compared to others , definitely don't use metal utensils as this will scratch the non stick coating - and it is non stick. Has been used numerous times now and struggling to work out why we didn't buy one sooner ? Getting used to the various heat settings now for cooking times , has been trial and error but the end results are delicious. I would definitely recommend this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Clever idea! The metal cooking pot that can be put on the hob to seal and brown the food is a brilliant idea! It saves washing up a separate pan, and starts the cooking process immediately. Also, being metal it has the advantages of being unbreakable and lighter in weight to handle (important for my arthritic hands). I made a beef stew then put the cooking pot on the hob for the last few minutes to cook the dumplings - it was a great success and the dumplings turned out better than my previous attempts in a conventional slow cooker. I love the oval shape and the look of the brushed steel contrasting with the black, a modern design that would fit in any kitchen.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Slow and stead always wins! Slow cookers have been making a comeback recently. I always thought that they’re so 70's and just meant eaten stews! Boy I was wrong. With our modern work schedules, long hours and endless commutes, I've been spending less time in the kitchen and more time in the local chippie. This modern designed slow cooker looks retro (ironically) and blends seamlessly with all my other household appliances. Its three heating functions (low, medium, high) are a perfect combination for “timed” cooking. The low setting should cook between 6-8 hours; medium is 4-6 hours; and high is 3-4 hours. I have now recognised slow cookers as the latest time saving device. Prepare your meat and vegetables the night before and load the lightweight aluminium pot in the morning. It does unfortunately does not benefit from a built-in timer, but you could always buy a cheap wall socket timer. I just select the low setting, whether I work 8-10 hours, my food is still succulent and moist without worrying that I’ve left an appliance all day. It operates between 130-164W, so is a very low energy consumer. At its highest setting, it’s consuming less than two 100W light bulbs to cook food! Possibly one of the greenest ways of cooking. I’ve discovered tasty bolognaise dishes, melt in the mouth pulled pork and even succulent beef briskets can be cooked while I’m at work and ready to be eaten when I walk through the door.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very simple to use and good looks too We've had a slow cooker for about 15 years (another make) and when it finally packed up, we wondered if the Morphy Richards model would be as good. Hopefully we'll have to wait 15 years to find out but it seems very good and cooks just as well. The aluminium cooking pot is much lighter than our old ceramic one, so makes the whole thing easier to handle. Unfortunately, because it is aluminium, we can’t use it on our induction hob, but that’s no hardship since we couldn’t use our ceramic one on the hob either, and are used to searing in a frying pan first. I particularly like the non-stick coating. It makes the bowl much easier to clean. Highly recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent kitchen addition! I bought this after a lot of research and deliberation, and what swung the decision was the metal internal pot. This is suitable for use on a stove top to brown meat, onions etc before beginning the slow cooking process. This cuts down on washing up (just a little!) but gives really good results. Everything I have tried in it has turned out really well - especially recommend caramelised onions, as they are so much easier than stove top cooking. Nice and compact, but big enough for food for four. Can't think why I waited so long to buy this brilliant bit of kitchen kit!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great All Round! I bought my slow cooker at the beginning of the year and have used it once a week since purchase, what a handy thing to have! Being so easy to use it a huge plus with the slow cooker as it makes preparing dinner much less time consuming, especially when having a house to run and a young child at school who needs picking up and dropping off etc. The recipes in the quick start guide are brilliant and very easy to prepare. Preparing a meal in the morning and leaving it to cook throughout the day is brilliant. The end result of what I've cooked has been brilliant each and every time, an all round great purchase!
