Vapour Mist Technology

To remove creases when ironing you require heat, moisture and pressure. The Atomist Iron uses vapour mist technology to deliver moisture when ironing, rather than steam. The fine mist is delivered by a nozzle at the front of the iron and is activated by a trigger under the handle. The vapour mist penetrates deep into fibres and along with the thermoglass soleplate the iron gives the right amount of heat, moisture and pressure to remove creases with ease. As the water for the mist is not heated it will be limescale free always, giving longer lasting performance and no annoying marking of garments.

A New Way To Iron

This patented technology makes ironing easy and gives your clothes a good finish without the need for steam, using 75 per cent less energy.

Fast Powerful Heat Up

This iron heats up quickly and the impact resistant ceramic glass allows you to see creases disappear as you iron.

Refill Less Often

The removable water tank can be filled straight from the tap, the iron uses 80 per cent less water and gives up to 2 hours continuous ironing time.

Precision Temperature Control

One-touch heat selection lets you select the right temperature for your clothes with ease.

Auto Shut Off

If the iron has not been used for 10 minutes, the iron will automatically enter standby mode, both for safety and energy saving.

A Better Experience

The vapour mist system is surprisingly quiet and doesn’t create the humidity like steam irons can.

It is also lightweight and ergonomically designed to make your ironing experience easier.

Integrated Cable Tidy

When the product is not in use, the power cable can be stored neatly in the cable tidy located on the back of the water tank.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Style looks good like the glass idea I had this given to me for a review. I do have a problem standing for period of times I found that the iron doest heat up enough and had problems getting my husbands shirts ironed. Even my daughter commented just how long it took me to iron one shirt and still it was creased. The spray way going passed the collar on shirts and to get the creases out I had to use a lot of mist which made the cloth damp. I'm always up for trying new things and moving with the times, but I think I will keep going for a little while as I don't give up easy but I may have to go back to my steam generator. Design is lovely, but it doesn't stand up very well i was afraid it would fall over so I kept laying it back on the stand.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Mistical Magic. The first impression of this iron was that it was very space aged and light weight. Setting up is a breeze I just followed the quick set up instructions and was ready to start in less than a minute. The water is placed in a clear water tank which means I don't have to carry the iron with the water inside making for a lighter weight option. The simple options with the settings at the top of the iron mean that even my husband and son found it easy to use. A spray from the trigger and the nozzle lights up which again was a great selling point for my son! Then the glass plate smooths through the creases with very little heat and what I like is it leaves no residue on clothes. The appliance will take a little getting used to so I know how much water to use on each of my garment types but so far I am more than impressed. I do find it a great frustration as living in a hard water area we find that limescale causes damage to the iron and marks our clothes over time. The good thing with this is there is no limescale as there is no boiling of the water which is a perfect addition to my laundry needs. I must say that as my husband has not ironed in over 30 years then this iron is worth its weight in gold as he is finally ironing his work shirts! I love the Morphy Richards Ranges and have many items in my kitchen so will add this iron to that list.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very Lightweight I was sent this iron to review. I have severe back probems so was looking forward to a new lightweight iron to see if it would make ironing any easier. Opening the package it was a bit strange looking with the water tank fitting under the iron via a big hose which attaches to the iron and the iron rest on the plate. I immediately began to test out the iron! It is very light to handle and does g0 over the clothes smoothly but I was very disapointed in the results. M daughers school shirts and sons work trousers were not crease free, unable to get sharp creases in the sleeves or legs. I ironed one of my dad hankies, you know how they like their proper hankies ironed and again there were still creases when i had finished. The iron to me does not seem to get hot enough to iron some of the cotton clothes yet on some t shirts it was aceptable and did look well ironed. The ose on the iron that feeds the water is a bit restricting when you have a big ironing board and trying to reach down the other end with it, it won't reach. I am used to having a button that you press for extra steam on my irons and I think as this one doesn't i didn't get that extra bit of oomph! I did end up with wet/damp clothes with using the water spray button as well. All in all for the money I would not buy one as I don't think it is worth the money. The only saving fact for me was that it was lightweight and I have continued to use it in the hope that I will become used to this different way of ironing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It’s lighter, cooler and easy to use! I received this iron for free in return for my review. This review is in my own words and reflects my true opinion. It took me awhile to get used to this iron. In the end I ironed six loads of ironing before writing this review. At first, the lightness of the iron made me use a lot of pressure while ironing. This did not produce good results at all and I was disheartened as I really wanted to like this iron. The second time I used the iron, I used less pressure and less water – and the results were noticeably better. I also was able to complete the ironing faster and more easily as the iron weighs far less than my current iron. I’ve just completed my last big batch of ironing before writing this review, and all in all the experience is much easier and faster than ironing the same amount of clothing. The bulk of my ironing is shirts and trousers, but I also iron bed and table linens. That said – I would be a little concerned about using this iron for something that requires crisp presise seams. I couldn’t get the knack right to get seam crisp and perfect. It also didn’t always get out set in wrinkles as well as I would like (see the pictures of the hanky below. Still, for the ironing I personally do the positives far outweigh the negatives. It is really nice to iron without the windows fogging up and without getting overheated from the steam. Also, no burns while ironing tricky seams! I also used far less water, and didn’t have to go back and forth for more water while ironing. My current iron has developed a weird chalky powder from hard water that randomly deposits itself on clothing. This iron hasn’t developed any issue with the hard water, but I can’t know for sure how it will respond to the hard water until I use it for a few months. I was really intrigued by the design of the iron and it’s efficiency claims – I was not disappointed. It will replace my current steam iron.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great design, easy to use, lightweight but flawed On very creased items it very difficult to get the creases out, on lighter weight items the creases are gone. The standard model would do a better job in comparisons and you can also get water patches if you spray the vaporisers function too much (see cuffs photo)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Energy efficient, Great looking Iron This is sleek, stylish, light weight, good looking Iron. I like thermal glass, you can see through as you iron Simple three temperature settings that can be changed with one click. It uses Mist instead of steam that meant no lime scale or stains on cloths, we live in a hard water area, having used it for last couple of weeks and we have used it on different type of clothes and find it easy to use and got crease free clothes. we are happy with mist technology. It uses less electricity than steam iron so good for pocket and environment Overall very happy with the product and got a good feedback from family and friends

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice Design Worked well on soft cotton, especially ethnic cotton dresses. Even did wonders on denim shirt. But took very long to heat up, and i found myself using the mist button too much as i was gripping too high at the handle. Not sure if its good on certain thicker fabric as it didnt works as well on linen. The glass sole plate is quite unusual and the water reserve section. All very unique, gets job done after a good while of using.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comearound atomist party This is a great iron was a bit strange to use 1st time around abit like not turning you iron on!! No noise really light to use three settings with one touch button on the iron takes up to about two minutes to heat up , this is definitely not your average Iron! Using the light mist spray before you use it really helps get creases out really fast you can see through the Thermo glass plate, so you can see what you are ironing. I wouldn't say it warms up as hot as an average are you in but it does use less electricity so is good for the environment and on your pocket! It does have a nice feel to it and looks good with the nice Ombance light when you press the mist spray, no buildup of limescale as no water enters the plate of the iron only through the mist spray at the top which is good if you live somewhere with hard water ! Overall this is a really good iron bit strange to use first but I really do like using it if there was a downside to it it would probably be the wire Coming out of the iron it would've been a lot better if it went down a bit sometimes it feels like your wrist is in the way? But well done morphy Richard
