Rated 5 out of 5 by Florose from Love the metal pot I bought this as a replacement for an old 3.5l one with a ceramic pot. I love being able to prepare everything in the pot and then put it in the cooker. The stirrer is great although the lid is a little cumbersome to deal with with everything attached, but that may ease with practise. I should have bought the 3.5l one, but the 6.5l one still seems to work well with smaller amounts and I plan to do more batch cooking. A good purchase as long as you have room in the cupboard to store it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Suz15 from Better than previous models This new slow cooker with stir capability is brilliant. It takes all the positives from previous versions and improves upon them. The cooker is lighter, the inner section can be used on the job to fry off meat etc and then the stirring element ensure consistent cooking of the whole dish. My food so so soft and tender it was delicious.

Rated 5 out of 5 by SBeach from Great auto stirring feature I've successfully cooked curries, soups and a joint of gammon, they were all delicious. The gammon could be shredded or sliced when it had cooled. The stirring mechanism is a particularly clever feature as it saves you having to keep taking the lid off to stir the contents. Very easy to use both with and without the stirrer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Kathrynp from Slower cooker - Start it and leave it. As by the name it is a slow cooker, start it and leave it. Come back hours later to a prepared meal. Used the 3.5 litre version ans it provides plenty for up to four people. Nice clean design and easy to use, lid has side clips to hold in place, stirring paddle can be detached and cleaned separately. Excellent bowl, very good quality and you can use it on the hob to prepare and sear the meat, mind it gets hot. 3 cooking levels that allows you to vary the cooking time, 4-6 hours, 6-8 hours and 8-10 hours. So you can relax and enjoy your day out. The stirring paddle option is good, it moves the contents regular, if you want to use it that is. Not had a slow cooker with this before so a worthwhile addition. Really useful when cooking rice pudding. Only issue - the paddle is hard to clean when you do rice, it sticks in the corners so you have to do each one if you hand wash. The cooking pot is dishwasher safe. Care to be taken with the glass lid although has been very robust. Avoid using metal utensils in the cooking pot. Don't use any abrasive to clean either the pot or the glass lid.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Loddle from So convenient! My daughter bought this a while ago and we used it for the first time last weekend. We really loved the sear feature. We have our own slow cooker without that and it’s time consuming and inconvenient to have to sear meat first - and yes, the flavour and appearance is better if you do so. We didn’t actually sear the joint, just put it on the hob to boil, as per the recipe. Also, we didn’t use as much water as the recipe said, and our brisket joint poked above the water line, but it still cooked very nicely. We have found adding less water is better, as the meat and veg produce water. The second photo was taken after I’d taken the meat out and shredded it, then put it back. Very tender and tasty - think I’ll get rid of my old one and buy one of these!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jacky78 from Good purchase for tasty cooking I have used it for stews, soup and rice pudding. These were very successful. My only gripe is the recipe book which does not have many recipes. I downloaded the previous model’s recipe book but found the recipes were very different. Would love to have recipes for this model please.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Blue20 from Great buy! I had intended to buy a slow cooker for some time and finally did so a few weeks ago. I’ve made soups and stews and roasted a chicken and all have been delicious. The stir facility is very useful for soups and stews and you don’t have to think about it at all.
