The ultimate steam power can be used for more than just ironing. With its deep penetrating heat and moisture, the Power Steam Elite can be used to remove creases from hanging curtains. Freshen up duvets and mattresses. You can even use it to do your dry cleaning at home and remove odours and creases from garments.
With a durable, non-stick and easy glide ceramic coating the iron will effortlessly glide and remove creases.
Safe and Easy Carry Lock
The iron locks to the steam generator base allowing easy and safe carrying. Lock into place and allow the iron to cool down before storing away. The steam generator also has cable storage around the base to keep cables and wires tidy.
Auto Shut Off
This steam generator has a fail-safe mechanism which will switch the unit off automatically if it hasn't been used for a period of time. The auto-shut off will be activated if the iron hasn't been used for ten minutes - this saves energy and also gives you peace of mind. Rated 5 out of 5 by Bigron from Best Steam Generator I've used Been using this steam generator for over a month now and I can quite honestly say it's the best performer by far from others I've used in the past. This replaced another Morphy Richards generator and it surpasses that one both in steam production and over ease of use. I'm liking the idea of the self clean function as my previous model was a bit of a pain to rinse it out when the light came on. Can't comment on it yet though as it hasn't done a clean since I got it. I'm not sure that the wrap around cable tidy makes things any easier and the new style water reservoir is a bit more fiddly than my previous model but that is a small price to pay for the superb performance. Highly recommended

Rated 4 out of 5 by Frem from Lightweight and quiet Purchased today and noticed a couple of things hence my 4 star rating. Firstly, the water chamber does not click in firmly. You can easily pull it out without any effort but you need a couple of attempts to lock it into place otherwise the iron indicates that the chamber is dry. Secondly, the iron comes with a large allen key to unscrew the boiler screw. However, there is nowhere on the iron where you can store this key, a simple clip underneath the unit would suffice, but the silly thing is they also supply you with another (flat) key which does clip in and that is to screw in the boiler screw! Two tools to do the same job, just doesn't make sense. Used it for the first time and have to say it heats up quickly and less noisy than my previous Philips one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by fraskari from Amazing Self Clean Steam Generator Bought this model to replace my older model of Morphy Richards Steam Generator as I dropped the iron on the floor and the soleplate became a little loose. I couldn't get it repaired anywhere so I bought this new model on the telesales guy's recommendation. Very impressed with this model. So much more quieter than my previous model and same easy controls with the added bonus of being self-cleaning. Light to handle and so quick to get through a pile of ironing. Highly recommended it and it makes ironing a pleasure. Also, first class customer service.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Mrs J M from Best Iron I had I bought this iron 4 months ago I did lots of search into Steam Generator Irons and read lots of reviews. I have had other steam Generator Irons before but none have come up to this one. It is so light to use and easy, also does a very good job of the ironing. I was a little apprehensive about the Auto Clean system as we live in a very hard water area, but this is so easy to do. It does make a lot of gurgling noises but once you get used to that its no problem. I would definitely recommend this iron. A little on the expensive side but hopefully worth it in the long run.

Rated 5 out of 5 by hartc2 from Superb all round iron I've had this iron for a couple of months now. It gets heavy use with work and kids school stuff. I've had no problems with it whatsoever. No matter what steam pressure you use the creases fall out and theres no dirty marks left behind with some previous irons I've used. The locking and carrying feature is just brill.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Heather1 from OK but could be better I have had this for a couple of weeks now and it is OK. One issue I have is the sole plate does not glide as well as previous irons which can be frustrating as sometimes it drags on the clothes causing them to crease. Never had this problem before so it adds to ironing time. The descale light came on so I let the iron cool down as per instructions and then switched it on again. It should have then done a descale but it just started up as though I was going to start ironing again.Repeated the process again and then it did work, but frustrating when you have to wait for it cool and repeat the process because it didn't work the first time.To be honest given the opportunity again I would not choose this iron, but it is too expensive for me to change now so I guess I am stuck with it until it breaks down.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Beebopalula from Everything on my requirements list I bought an iron and returned it before buying this one as I realised that I had very specific requirements. So if yours are the same these are the really good things about this iron. 1. Longer steam cable than most 2. Cable comes out the back not the side which is better for left handers 3. Removable water container so you can empty it afterwards as you shouldn’t leave water in there. 4. The iron can rest on its heel flat to save you always having to put it back on the unit when you are mid iron and want to move the garment. 5. It fixes to the base so a hot iron doesn’t land on you when you are putting it away. So I bought this as it fitted all my requirements and so far so good.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Julie15 from Dissatisfied Had this product for just under 2 years (within the guarantee period), was quite pleased with the workings of the iron, then used it on a blouse that needed it to be lower temperature and the iron spat out what looked like black mud, the blouse and the ironing board cover ruined wouldn't wash clean even with stain remover, I carried out an iron descale (the tank automatically descales itself) but still not ironing without an odd stain, sent it back to Morphy Richards at my own costs £16-£17 to be examined by engineers who then told me there was nothing wrong with their product, I had used the "incorrect water" and wasn't covered by the guarantee!!!! Despite treating the tap water with the water softner chrystals in a bottle from Morphy Richards since new, so not really happy. They did offer to send the iron back or would I like them to dispose of it for me, I opted to have it back condidering I paid £140 but dont have the confidence to use it again. I live in an area classed as having medium hard water. Ive lived in this house for 38 years and had quite a few irons but never seen anything like this before. There are only 2 adults in the household.
