Safety Auto Shut Off
The Turbosteam Pro has a failsafe feature that automatically switches the iron off if it is left soleplate down for 1 minute or stood on the heel for 8 minutes, saving energy and giving you peace of mind.
The self-clean and anti-scale features help to prolong the life of your iron. The self-clean flushes the tank to prevent the build-up of limescale, all you have to do is hold the iron over the sink while the water is flushed through the soleplate. There is an anti-scale pouch inside the iron which filters the water to help prevent the build-up of limescale.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from Excellent price/quality/ironing experience ratio! Had originally bought a steel soleplate from a different brand, but it had so much drag I had to take it back. Really happy with this Morphy Richards model (even more so as it was reduced in price). Pros: - Heats up really quickly - within 20 seconds you can start ironing, and it takes less than a minute to be fully hot. - Glide is superb. - Extra-long cable helps movement across the board. - Nice and heavy to make ironing easier, but not too heavy to get your arms tired. - Cable connects to iron without hindering the rest position. - Very happy with the steam power (for its size, it packs quite a punch). - Ideal for a family of four: with rugby player and horse rider in the family, we're ironing at least every second day (feels like that, anyway). Cons: - Haven't found any...

Rated 5 out of 5 by su51hew from Made ironing a breeze! I absolutely love this iron. Loads of fantastic features that makes my ironing easier and quicker. It has a long lead so I don't need to be stood right next to the plug. The large water tank means you spend less time refilling the water which allows you to get through the ironing quicker. The iron glides beautifully over the clothes and makes the iron feel light when using it, and the steam trigger is positioned so you can steam without moving your hand off the handle which I loved. Fantastic would highly recommend!

Rated 5 out of 5 by DaveV from Extremely good value for money Bought this because the old Philips one had packed up. Did a bit of research but not a lot as we are not ironing junkies. One thing I wanted to make sure of was that it had a reasonably long lead so I contacted customer services to check and they were helpful. It has a 3m (10 feet) lead which is a plus. It seems to work well. It was on special offer so ended up being very good value for money. Has all the bells and whistles (auto switch off, steam jet). In theory you can use it with tap water but we are in a very hard-water area so we'll be sticking with 100% de-ionised water.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Silverjam from Heats up really fast with auto shut off I didn't do much research on irons before I purchased this one. Went for a moderate price and read a few reviews. I was attracted by the auto shut off feature and am realising how valuable this is. Fantastic for pressing on and off during a sewing project. Once picked up the iron is so quick to heat up, but hopefully economically if not being used for a while. Very long cord and soft rubber trim for when iron is standing on end - protecting a work surface during cool down. Steam and spray features are even in their delivery and help with a very smooth glide. Seems a bit heavier than I would like but the man in the house who does most of the regular ironing likes it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by aliceboy from Better than I need I had the same iron for something like 20 years. It was a small travel iron with a steam function, and I pretty much only ever use it to iron my shirt in the morning, but it finally gave up on me. This one was on offer, so it seemed like a good replacement. It's quite a bit heavier than my old one, even when it was full of water. It's got a much larger water tank than I used to (I would have to fill the old one every use, but I've used this a week and it's not even half empty). The heat plate is about twice the size of the one I used to have, so a shirt takes about half the time to finish. So, a lot more iron than I really need, but certainly one that does the job quite well.

Rated 1 out of 5 by non mp lover from Disappointed Bought 19th Jan 2017. Totally disappointed. Dirty brown liquid spew out when steaming. Its brand new and only ever had ironing water used. Very ironing when your cleaning sheets get dirty marks and need to be washed again. No confidence in the iron. looking for alternatives.....not Morphy Richards!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Idonothaveone from Could be improved I have just tried my new iron and am very pleased with the result, the iron heats up quickly and the cable is extra long, I am also pleased that it has the auto-switch off feature particularly for just one minute when horizontal, I don't want scorched sheets! Unfortunately, I found that after half an hour the seam on the handle rubbed my thumb and made it sore, my previous Morphy Richards iron was more comfortable. I also wish that the design would incorporate a clear window so that the water level could be seen more easily, I hate having to wave a hot iron around to try to find where it is; when looking for a new iron I couldn't find any which had this feature. I couldn't wrap the lead around the body of the iron and fit it into my iron holder, I shall probably have to buy a new one or leave the cord dangling. Otherwise I am satisfied with my purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Carol67 from Best Iron By Far I iron most days, as I have a never ending pile of laundry (as do most mums) and have purchased many irons over the years. This iron is brilliant, easy to use, it's light weight and it glides through the creases effortlessly, cutting my time down ironing dramatically. There's no need to keep topping up the water as often,as the tank is larger than most. Another bonus is, that it has a nice long lead
