Rated 3 out of 5 by robf from Cheap and cheerful iron built down to a price. This iron has a two metre power cord which is totally inadequate, it needs to be a minimum of three metres, I replaced the supplied power cord with a five metre one the day it arrived. Incredibly, near the end of the second decade of the 21st century, Morphy Richards are producing irons with no automatic power cut off, something I consider to be an absolutely essential safety feature. It appears they're still making irons designed in the 1960s. On the plus side, it has a comfy grip which Morphy Richards appear to consider a higher priority than the aforementioned shortcomings, probably because it's cheap to stick some rubbery plastic on the handle.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Gemmiebelle from Do not buy I purchased, the iron in 2016 and it was absolutely fine until 3 months ago , when it started spitting out a mud/ sand like consistency, which sometimes meant I was having to rewash my clothes. I had to stop using the iron in the end and have now borrowed an old Morphy Richards iron from my Mother. I contacted Morphy Richards and was told that it was my fault as I didn't use deionised, distilled or demineralised water , but as I have pointed out to Morphy Richards in my last email it is recommended to use the said waters but isn't a must .I am using now a old iron which is 10 years old and always been filled with tap water and have never had any problems with .

Rated 4 out of 5 by Jess R from Glides through the ironing! My old iron was getting a little tired, so decided to treat myself to a new one. As the newer version of my iron was getting some poor reviews I did a bit of research before plumping for this iron. So far so good - the iron has (as the name suggests) a comfortable grip and glides with ease across the clothes. The steam function works well, no dripping. The flex is not as long as I'd like, that is probably my main gripe. Also, whilst the iron looks good, the dark colour can make it difficult to check the water level, but I'm getting used to that now. Overall, a good iron, hopefully it will give me many years of service!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Katie S from Fantastic iron easy to use I bought this iron today and I couldn't be more pleased. It's easy to use, a great weight, not too heavy & not too light, I like the way the cord swivels, it's got a ball end that fits into a cup so I'm not fighting to move the cord away all the time. The rubber grip on the heel is a great feature too, it feels very stable on my ironing board. Impressive steam output. Lovely to hold and the sole plate just glides over the clothing, it made the weekly ironing session a joy to do, it was actually quite relaxing and I got through it in record time If I could give this iron 10 stars I would. This is an exceptionally well designed product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Mazzard16 from Reliable This is at least the third Comfigrip iron that we have has over the years and, on the strength of 10 days' use, this one seems to possess the same qualities as the previous ones. It is comfortable to use and the ceramic soleplate seems, if anything, to glide more smoothly than the earlier irons. The steam-shot trigger is located under the grip and can lead to unintentional use but this is something that just needs getting accustomed to. It would have been nice to have had a flex retainer to keep the cord from unravelling after use (we took the one off the old iron) but this is just a minor niggle about what it otherwise a good iron.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Dogtired from All irons are not necessarily the same... I liked the idea that this iron was red and looked like it might be hot. With tiny tots around, why would I want a cool looking iron in white with blue or green, no, this one shouts hot, hot, hot and hopefully it will keep little hands safe. It works extremely well, no burnt clothing if you follow the labels on the clothes and the temperature control on the iron. The iron fills easily, has a powerful blast of steam and spray of water when needed. It’s a nice weight for removing creases which you just can’t get out with light-weight irons. A solid and quality feel rounds off a good package. No, all irons are simply not the same.

Rated 4 out of 5 by joehcroydon from Good quality iron for the price We had a Morphy Richards iron before this one and it had given good service before developing a fault. This Comfigrip model seemed to have the features we wanted, and so we picked it out. A few weeks on and we are largely impressed with it. The action is very good overall, and the only small issues we have is that the length of electrical flex seems shorter on this model, the self-clean feature does not seem to do anything (but I do need to consult the manual on that one before writing the feature off) and the steam blast feature is not as strong as in the previous model. That said, the product performs well, and with a 3yr warranty included also, I couldn't argue at the price.
