Rated 1 out of 5 by CLAREH from ITS NOT WHITE I BOUGHT THIS ITEM IN RED THE FIRST TIME BUT THE RED WAS THE WRONG COLOUR TO MATCH OTHER THINGS IN THE KITCHEN! I RANG TO SEE IF I COULD DO A STRAIGHT SWAP FOR THE WHITE ONE, BUT APPARANTLEY THEY ARE THE ONLY COMPANY THAT CAN'T DO THAT AND THAT YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR THE RETURNS..........THIS COST £18.50 TO SEND BACK THE TOASTER AND KETTLE......I THEN ORDERED THE WHITE ONE'S. WHEN RECEIVING THEM THEY ARE NOT WHITE THEY ARE CREAM AND SO THEY STILL DON'T MATCH ANYTHING IN MY KITCHEN, BUT INSTEAD OF PAYING ANOTHER £18.50 TO RETURN THEM I AM GOING TO SELL THEM AND BUY ANOTHER MAKE BECAUSE I WILL NEVER BUY FROM MORPHY RICHARDS AGAIN!

Rated 3 out of 5 by Italia from Second time- finish standard is now much poorer This is our second Accents kettle- the first lasted us a good few years of constant use but the filter finally gave up against the limescale! As we were happy with the last one we bought exactly the same again ONLY- the finish has been 'cheapened' with much of the chrome detailing being removed. I can only think this makes it cheaper to manufacture and the result is that the look is not as high quality. It is a real shame that companies resort to cutting the quality of finish to maximise profits. Lets hope that the build quality has not had the same treatment and it lasts as long as the last one...

Rated 1 out of 5 by JPWarwick from They don't last very well Was given one of these as a Christmas present 4 years ago. It has had average domestic use. There is now a lot of corrosion around the top fixing for the handle where steam has leaked out over time and the paint and chrome has peeled away. The water level display is also difficult to read because it is full of hard water deposits. It seems like this is a design fault as there are many others who have had the same problem based on an internet search. The issue is that there is a screw fixing for the handle inside the kettle which is an obvious leak path for the steam over time. It is surprising MR are still selling this kettle after so many years without fixing this design fault. We have just had to replace ours with a new kettle but a 4 year life is very poor compared to kettles we have had previously. Would not recommend buying this if you want a kettle that will last.

Rated 5 out of 5 by FamilyCook from The Family Kettle Have been using Morphy Richards for over 5 years and will never go back. This kettle, as with all previous purchaes, is a high quality product that works well as a family's go-to kettle. It is great for boiling water to cook, de-ice or even for a simple cuppa'. The 1.5L capacity is more than enough for up to 8 people and the water metre is easily accessible, allowing you to use as much water as needed. The design is great and fits well with our kitchen, and is definitely an improvement over previous kettles. MR are a very good company to fulfill warrenty issues as well, with previous kettles being replaced when needed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by GeminiGirl from Decent kettle I had one of these kettles (and matching toaster) when my new cream kitchen was installed and was very pleased with both of them. After over 5 years continuous, daily use, my old kettle had a small leak, so I decided to replace it with exactly the same model. The newer model has the added extra of a filter inside, which is removable to clean. I think the on off switch does not seem as good though, although perfectly acceptable, just different. This kettle is easy to fill, good pouring and looks good. I would recommend these kettles (and toaster) in any kitchen and they come in lovely colours, as well as long lasting.

Rated 5 out of 5 by davcam64 from Beautifully Designed The Accents Red Traditional Kettle has been designed to not only look good but be practical and simple to use. The handle is comfortable to use and the lid makes sure no steam escapes upwards. Removing the lid is straight forward as you can comfortably rest your hand on the handle while using one finger to easily remove the lid. The spout is well designed and fills a cup effortlessly without any splash back. The cable is a good length with easy storage in the base. One of the best features and also one of the simplest is the Water Fill Indicator, it tells you how full the kettle is by the amount of cups it will fill as apposed the amount of litres it holds, much simpler.

Rated 4 out of 5 by minty from Good stylish traditional shaped kettle I bought this to replace an existing kettle that sprang a leak (a morphy Richards prior model). We like the design which is why we purchased another. Our previous one was around 3 years old and unfortunately suffered a leak in the same place as it's predecessor - around the bottom of the water gauge. Looking inside it appears that the washer behind the rivet holding holding the water gauge to the body cracked over time and results in a seal breakdown. Despite this happening twice we still like the design and, because in both cases we bought the kettle in a sale we were not upset that they only lasted around 3 years and thought it good value.
