Rated 4 out of 5 by Bebbyg from Easy to use, sturdy and attractive. I have so far used this mixer to make cakes, bread and delicious buttercream. I found it a little bit fiddly at first putting the attachments on. The dough blade is really good I found it mixed the dough well and the bread was lovely the beater I had to knock it down a couple of times and mix the bottom a bit by hand however I didn't find this to be too much of an issue. My buttercream was whisked beautifully and tasted delicious. I am looking forward to baking more stuff. It is really easy to use and clean and isn't too noisy for a kitchen appliance. It really is a lovely looking piece of kitchen equipment. It comes with a few recipes which is always fun to get you started.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Stephenph78 from A great value machine! This is a very well made product - robust and solid. It does what it is supposed to do very well and for the price is extremely good value when compared to some of the premium brands in this field. The machine looks great in my kitchen and the splash guard is really useful; so too is the pulse function. The suckers on the base of the unit stop it from moving around when in operation and reduce any vibration. My only niggle is that it is rather noisy at high speeds. A great machine if you don't want to spend a fortune!

Rated 4 out of 5 by L J x from Makes baking a doddle I'm not renowned for my baking but since using this product I have been complimented on how light & fluffy my cakes are. The product is simple to use, although I did have to refer to the manual a couple of times, & the suction feet meant it stuck to the work surface well. A little noisy on the top speed, but that's to be expected.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Rachelamy from A pleasure to use I have been using the stand mixer for the last 2 weeks and have been delighted with the results. On opening the box, I was very pleased to see the modern, sleek design of the mixer. The mixer fits in with a range of other items from Morphy Richards in the same design. The machine itself feels sturdy and of good build quality. It looks great in my kitchen and sits nicely on the worktop without taking up too much space. There are 6 variable speed settings and an added pulse function which allows added control over mixing. There are suckers on the base of the machine which really help keep it in place when in use. The mixer comes with a number of attachments, a beater, whisk and dough hook. I have used the whisk when mixing cream with very good results. I have also used the beater attachment when making victoria sponge cakes using an all in one method, with great results. The large bowl has been very handy to fully incorporate all of the ingredients into the mix. The splash guard is easy to remove and replace and the machine and attachments, although not dishwasher proof, are very easy to clean. I'm very impressed with the Morphy Richards stand mixer. It's been very easy to use (and clean after use) and has certainly made baking effortless. I would highly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by jasonj from Brilliant mid range mixer for everyday use Upon opening the box, I excitedly began to unwrap the mixer. With a good solid base and a wide range of attachments, I quickly realised that this would be a flexible and versatile appliance. I'm fairly old school when it comes to this type of unit. I have used and preferred the more classic ones with detachable whisking heads and rotating bowl. Times have of course moved on and this mixer certainly comes with a lot for the price. Firstly, the accessories. A beater, whisk and dough hook - all dishwasher friendly, so easy to clean, even after a sticky bread session. The whisk is a single one which rotates around the 5 Litre bowl. The controls are 6 speed plus a pulse function where you can just quickly finish off a process without the need to leave the unit on. The bowl comes with a handy guard to avoid splashing or clouds of flour during use, and the guard also has an ingredients gap whereby you can add further wet or dry to the bowl without stopping the mixer or detaching the bowl. The motor is 800w, so should handle most food preparation including bread. A handy note is to always turn off the motor when not needed and give any mixer a 'rest' between sessions to ensure the motor gives a premium service. If the motor feels hot, stop the unit. That brings me onto the guarantee. Morphy Richards is part of the Glenn Dimplex group. They offer a 2 year guarantee from the date of purchase. Spares such as splash guards, whisks etc are all available at the time of writing direct from their website. Also on their website are instruction manuals and the link for registering your mixer should service be needed. As for the unit's versatility, on a first time test it's handling anything from cake mixes to bread, the smoothest of dairy recipes and even a fruit quark recipe with ease. I can't wait to really test it out! A good cook book to get you started would be the latest edition 'BeRo' cookbook - (search for 'BeRo' on amazon, it's a small and well trusted book in the UK for many generations). Also worth noting is that the mixer is part of a wider range in classic red. Matching kettle and toaster, microwave, cordless vac, coffee machine, Iron, slow cooker and touchscreen scales are currently available, as are a cutlery set, bread bin, pan set, gas kettle, kitchen roll holder and 2 sizes of biscuit barrels to finish off a red theme in your kitchen. So you really can theme the whole kitchen with small appliances from the range, even matching accessories and storage. The cost of the unit is mid range. There are lower cost models out there but you really do get what you pay for. Remember, replacement accessories, a wide range of matching products and that all important 2 year guarantee. A brilliant purchase that I am looking forward to using regularly.
