Rated 2 out of 5 by jany1 from Rather disappointed I bought this kettle as it was the exact colour I wanted . I was really happy with it as it has a good handle and pours really nicely, however there are 2 things I dont like . The fill level indicator is really hard to see and I often think it has enough water but when I shake the kettle I realise it doesnt, ( a small thing but annoying as this is not a cheap kettle) the other thing is it has rusted around the lid (I deliberately dont take the lid off to fill as I didnt want to damage the finish!) This is very disappointing especially as I have bought the toaster to match and it doesnt look like the kettle will last much longer from an aesthetic point of view . Shame

Rated 4 out of 5 by Ludite from Corrosion around spout and water level glass On my second of these kettles. Have replaced the old one which is still working but looks awful with all the corrosion around the kettle neck and in the water level glass compartment. Good side:-Excellent to use, good pouring spout, fast boil, looks good. Downside:- Even with regular descaling, living in a hard water area I have had to replace the filter twice in under two years.Scale accumulates around the spout on the outside where it joins the main body causing corrosion and paint defect ie flaking.. Also the viewing water level glass at the rear clogs frequently. Free replacement filters on request would be a good promotional idea.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Gwennie from Bittersweet I had the Sage green Kettle & matching toaster as gifts over a year ago, they were exactly what I had been looking for. I love the design, it pours well and it is very quick and quiet. On the downside, the colour started peeling after a couple of months which makes it look shabby, and the water gauge is almost impossible to see, a shame really as it was on the expensive side and the performance so far gives me the impression it will last a while, for this reason I would not buy another one which is a shame really. Surely this could be remedied then I would say it is a keeper.

Rated 1 out of 5 by CaroleL from Excitement faded. As did kettle! I loved this kettle to begin with. The design and colour was spot on. However after one year (and I want a kettle to last longer than that) the side of kettle facing me has faded considerably and paint is now peeling off with each wipe. It has not been in sunlight and no harsh products used to clean it. Only ever wiped it with damp cloth so no excuse for this. Very disappointed. Especially as I've just bought a cooker to match it. Now the kettle is turned around the wrong way for me to use! But at least it looks good that way with new cooker.

Rated 3 out of 5 by lynne1953 from Updated features I bought this recently and I have had this same kettle before. The updates on this kettle are fine nothing to write home about but the gauge for telling you how much water is in the kettle failed almost immediately. Not a huge deal but irritating. This was the same on the previous model. This does need improving as this is the only kettle that I have owned that fails. We live in a hard water area so our kettles never last long but easy to descale. Noisy but we are used to it. I needed to get this kettle again as our other kitchen products match colourwise. Probably wouldn't have bought again otherwise hence the average rating.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Anonymous1900 from Cheap and Nasty new design Having previously owned a traditional cream kettle from Morphy Richards for many years, we had to replace it with what we thought was a similar model. What disappointment to see that they had changed the design for the worse. Nasty Looking plastic label on the handle is unnecessary, the base is much lighter, so it keeps moving, the lid has lost its pyramidal shape for no reason. The handle itself is much wider making it difficult to grasp. A silly light near the switch has been added (for what purpose?), instantly ruining the appeal of the vintage design. In a nutshell, what was a lovely classic item has been cheapened just for the sake of change. What a pity.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Bridgeman from Disappointing, leaking from level gauge Kettle just coming to 2 years old in December. There is a steam leak from the top of the level gauge which has damaged the colouring adjacent to the gauge. The plastic imitation chrome trim to the kettle start tab/switch ch has come adrift. Not happy and will not buy replacement

Rated 3 out of 5 by AvuserLeam from Good looking but performance could be better We bought the matching kettle and toaster just under two years ago. We live in a hard water area and have always had issues with kettle elements despite regular descaling. We thought that the 'hidden' element might be more reliable but it has unfortunately just failed. Hard water scale accumulates around the lid and kettle opening, the spout and handle fixings and is difficult to remove without damaging the kettle's coloured finish: scale also affects the sight glass. Despite these issues, we bought a second kettle because of its pleasing appearance, solid build quality and because we believe it is still relatively good value for money.
