Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Best! I bought this about a month ago and I'm really pleased with it. Such a strange iron and not as heavy as normal steam irons. It really makes ironing a pleasure as it is so simple to use. Just spray and go! I filled it up with water and even though I have had a lot of ironing it still has loads of water left in it. There is not the usual steam and heat that other steam irons have so I found that I could iron more with no stopping to cool down and add more water. This is expensive but worth it. I suffer with painful muscles and joints and ironing normally is an all day thing with me ending up in agony but no so much with this one so a real bonus.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Style looks good like the glass idea I had this given to me for a review. I do have a problem standing for period of times I found that the iron doest heat up enough and had problems getting my husbands shirts ironed. Even my daughter commented just how long it took me to iron one shirt and still it was creased. The spray way going passed the collar on shirts and to get the creases out I had to use a lot of mist which made the cloth damp. I'm always up for trying new things and moving with the times, but I think I will keep going for a little while as I don't give up easy but I may have to go back to my steam generator. Design is lovely, but it doesn't stand up very well i was afraid it would fall over so I kept laying it back on the stand.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible product. Ironing results are very poor. I purchased this product with high expectations considering the high price. But after using the iron I was very very disappointed it takes much longer to iron and the ironing results are very poor compared to a steam iron. On the plus side the iron looks amazing but unfortunately looks are decieving. Do not buy this product. Morphy Richards customer service is also poor I explained the issues with the iron it felt like they already knew the product was substandard. I was told to return it back but I would need to pay for postage and thus is not refundable!!!! Leaves me out of pocket but at least I don't own the atomist iron anymore !!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Double Dissappointed We were very excited about this new design iron but sadly it wasn't what we expected. Although an attractive and lightweight unit, ironing times seemed to be longer. The mist does make the clothes damp and feels like the iron is dragging slightly. We also found the glass plate was gathering residue and leaving a burnt patch at the top end of the plate. We thought maybe we done something wrong but this occurred at all temperatures and decided to go for the same iron replacement. Again, we had the same issues. The residue that built up would come off on our clothes when ironing. Not a great look on white shirts. Needless to say we are returning this iron.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from useless I purchased this iron to replace my steam generator iron whIch got accidentally damaged. I was impressed by the description on the box but on using it was different scenario. This iron does not get hot enough and does NOT remove creases even using the mist and having to use more and more water spray which then makes the clothing damp. It is described as being energy efficient but it takes twice as long to iron things so using more electricity and still creases remain. Have used it twice but have given up on denim jeans, bed linen etc. complete waste of money and tomorrow will be having to purchase another new steam generator iron. Have made a very expensive mistake.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great looks that lacks performance I ordered this iron the day it was launched as I have many Morphy Richards products that are all fantastic and really like my Redfine Hot water dispenser. The iron is packaged to a very high standard and was convinced before trying, it was going to be everything the advertising claims. The iron is light and heats fast and the water vapor is extremely powerful. When I started to iron a shirt I noticed it felt like it was dragging on the garment so I tried less vapour but it didn't help. I felt the iron was not hot enough which another review also made reference to. I then borrowed a neighbours new basic Morphy Richards steam iron and did a temperature check and found that the vapour iron was 20c cooler. I have since returned the iron and purchased a Morphy Richards steam generator and it's nothing but fantastic. I am frustrated that the vapour iron was not as polished as the advertising and packaging. I have tried a number of times to be a tester for Morphy Richards and to date not been considered which is frustrating as I would have challenged this concern and a few other minor design improvements to truly make this innovative product meet/exceed consumers expectations.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not any old iron! I’ve watched this iron for a long time, it looked so sleek and futuristic, but was way, way above my budget. However, it was recently reduced so I decided to try it and I’m so glad I did. The iron is light, easy to use and produces good results on both natural and synthetic garments. I have a disability and have found this iron to be much less tiring to use, plus it stops me wilting in the heat, as you don’t get the same clouds of steam as emitted from a traditional steam iron or generator. I am very pleased with the Atomist Vapour Iron, I still don’t like ironing that much, but until I can afford a robot to do it, I’ll stick to this!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fantastically modern I was lucky enough to be gifted this iron about a week ago. As I work for British Airways and have to wear a uniform and look smart all the time and also have 2 sons, I have a lot of ironing to get through every week! This week I managed to get through my pile much more quickly, thanks to the Atomist! With it's super modern fancy design and ultra new technology, it really is a great buy. It uses water straight from the tap, unlike other irons which can only use special demineralised water. Therefore it does not firm any lime scale. The powerful vapour jet is a fun and useful feature to get stubborn creases out in an instant. All in all a great iron.
