Rated 5 out of 5 by dmon from compact yet generous this is more than just a slow cooker - the ability to remove the lightweight pot and use directly on a cooker for searing is a welcome feature. I've had this product for around a month now and I've made a few curries, stews and soups, all with brilliant results thanks to just how easy it is to use. I particularly like how generous it is yet it takes up so little space on my worktop plus the plug can be tucked away out of sight in between use. it's a great cooker because as well as looking good it simplifies meals with top results and is easy to use and clean.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Anonymous from NOT GOOD ! The best thing about this slow cooker is the look and design which is why I purchased it. I assumed that it would work the same as any other slow cooker, wrong!! I did a stew before I left for work and after eight hours on low it had burnt and the veg had gone to mash. I tried it three times to no avail. My daughter and friend also bought one and found exactly the same and all three were returned. It cooks far too fast on low even though the instructions said it could be left for 8 to 10 hours. I have now resurrected my oval MR slow cooker which works perfectly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Chuckleberry from Slow cooking reinvented! I have used this on a regular basis over the last month and have to say I am more than impressed. Gone is the need to brown the meat in a saucepan as everything from start to finish can be done using the one pot. I have done everything from curries, stews, soup to rice pudding to perfection. It is stylish, practical, lightweight & compact. I can even transfer it directly from the hot plate to the table to be served from. It is a dream to wash up and the lead stores neatly underneath. If you had a heavy bulky crock pot slow cooker years ago you will be delighted with this model. Cooking is now enjoyable again!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Mum of large family from Very pleased Very pleased with it. Have had slower cookers off years and had been looking for a replacement which can also go on the hob to start things off. It is so easy to clean and I had positive comments from family about the look of it. It is great how it stores away, I thought the base might scratch the inside but it doesn't and there is a grip to lift it in and out . The only downside is that the low setting is more like a high setting so I only see me using the one setting. Also after having it on the hob the handles get very hot and you have to remember to lift it off using oven gloves, but that's not a problem when on the hot plate base.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Normc from Timed to perfection Using the compact slow cooker was a first in my long interest in producing good food. The results were amazing and without much work involved to achieve them. I tried both savoury and pudding creations almost to perfection. I am sure with more use, results could be even better. Steak meals and sponge puddings were easy to do and one particularly handy feature was the timer. Ideal for me being semi-retired but would be wonderful for any working people. It can ensure a well prepared meal without and worries. All in all a brilliant product that would be an absolute boon to any budding cooks.

Rated 4 out of 5 by GazzCook from Compact and does the job. I have had this about a month, have no issues with it, its just the two of us so cooking times are quicker with a half full pot and it does explain this in the instructions. A keep warm button would have been a bonus and they should have fitted one it wouldn't have added to the cost, if you leave on low it just keeps cooking, so on and off the way to go. Using on the hob to brown things and pre cook is a great feature, handles get hot though so oven gloves on and when your finished it sores in itself which is very clever. All in does the job for us worth a four rating but if had a keep warm button would have been a five.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Di53 from Cumbersome Having had an old morphy richards slow cooker for many years that now needed replacing I got one of these. Oh dear it is nowhere near as good as the old round model, square pots don't fit well on round hobs to start with, nor are they easy to clean in the corners. The pot is lightweight and food regularly sticks to the bottom of it. Even on low it boils rather than simmers, what a shame Morphy Richards had to change something that worked perfectly well . Give me the old model anyday.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Southsea Tim from Seems I am a good cook now! As someone who is new to slow cooking, this Sear and Stew cooker has proved easy to use and has become a welcome addition to the kitchen. Having successfully followed some of the recipes in the accompanying handbook it has inspired me to invest in a slow cooker cookbook and I have managed to produce meals which otherwise would have been more labour intensive and time consuming. The sear and stew facility saves on the washing up and this compact cooker is so easily cleaned. It is compact and when not in use, is easily storable. I have no hesitation in endorsing this product.
