I spend an hour per week ironing and it is a painful experience as my iron has a very small tank and I have to keep water next to me whilst I iron. Sometimes it spills over the clothes I'm about to iron. The Power Steam Elite looks amazing, thank you for the opportunity to win one.

I spend about two hours a week as I really don't like ironing so I just iron essentials or the things that are needed at the time. Having said that, sometimes the urge takes me to do some extra ironing on a dreary day when there's a good film on TV!

I totally hate ironing, but have just bought a murphy richards iron as school uniforms need ironing to look smart. I'm not into mass ironing, so end up doing bits everyday. Have to admit, am liking the new iron, takes out the creases instead of putting in, and even managed to safely iron my silk top. Was impressed. Steam irons look very smart, and heard they are supposed to be fab.

I love ironing, and when I do the laundry, I usually iron the clothes as soon as they are dry, steam generators are great and cut down the time it takes to do the ironing by half ! There are only two of us living at home, so I think I spend about 4 hours a week ironing.

I spend about 8 hours a week ironing ( but could be much more as my ironing is taking over the dining room !!) I would love to have something to make it easier - since I had brain surgery I struggle with my right arm - and try as I might...I just cant get the hang of ironing with my left hand !!

I only iron my stuff, when I need it! But I help my elderly parents, with their ironing, once a week, for at least 4 1/2 hrs, sometimes more. Depends on how much ironing they have. My mother can not stand for too long on her feet, so I do it on my days off work.

I have 5 children, including 2 boys that must have their full team suit and trousers on for Sunday League footbal, and 2 City of Glasgow Gymnasts that must be perfect in their team tracksuit arriving at competitions. And then their me and my husbands work outfits to be done, and that's before we even start on school uniforms! xx

I'm going to be honest here. I avoid ironing as much as I can, unless I REALLY need to. I try to straighten my clothing while they're drying, so there isn't that much creasing on them. It's a tedious task and I'm a lazy person. Could definitely do with new iron, to make it easier to iron mine and my partner's clothing. :-)

There are six of us and I do approximately six loads of washing per day. My children wear clean school clothes everyday, clean pyjamas everynight. I also change the beds three times a week, my husband wears trousers and shirts in addition to his weekly TA uniform. Three of the children are in the Cadet Forces so they have two sets of uniform as well. In addition I watch four sets of PE kit twice a week and towels are washed after every use. I iron everything, including underwear, not just because I love ironing, but because my children have excema and it is a little known fact that if you iron their clothes, bedding, pj's etc., it keeps the fibres in the clothes flat and makes life a little less itchy. How long do I spend ironing a week, well I do at least 90 minutes a day, so about 10 and a half hours a week. x

I iron for about 30minutes every other day as there are only 2 of us and I iron everything including socks, underpants and towels etc, I am a bit bonkers!

I usually do my ironing on a Sunday when the top 40 is on. I usually listen to the whole show so I iron for a good old while.

With three children and a husband who wears 6-7 shirts a week I spend between 4-6 hours a week ironing, would be longer but I have better things to do with my time. Anything to.make it easier would be a dream to.me.

I spend a good 2-3.5 hours a week ironing clothes for my son and I... However, I know that's going to increase when he starts school next year! I quite like ironing though - very therapeutic when you actually get going! lol! :D

I spend too long on the ironing as my iron is so old and worn so I guess about 5-6 hours a week!

It's not the time (4 hours) that worries me but the frills and delicate bits that I'd love to cut down on. The areas have to be done as I'm a frilly type and they look terrible if not done so wastes the whole look I want, but all the laying the frill keeping it in place for the iron and not leaving it too short a time it doesn't work or too long that it ruins the cloth. Anything that almosts leaves me just the lay out and does the job fast is wonderful.

I usually have 2-3 loads of ironing per week, which takes about an hour each time, but sometimes, in the summer when they bedding is line-dried I get away without ironing it! Ohhhh for more summer days.

I hate ironing more than anything, so I spend as little time as possible doing it! About 2 hours a week, but hubby is military so he spends double that just on his uniform! (I obviously have not had the correct training to get the creases in the right places, and therefore cannot do it for him! - plus he'd never forgive me if he got picked up on it by his superiors!!)
